How we Help

All of the proceeds from our events will go to the following causes:

  • Markey Cancer Foundation
    • The Markey Cancer Foundation provides services to Kentuckians that receive treatment at the Markey Cancer Center (https://ukmarkey.org/)
    • We have decided to support Markey patient transportation (gas cards to those in need) and patient lodging (hotels for those that live far away).

  • Jamming For Hope Patient Donation Program
    • We will be providing treatment payment to those that apply to our foundation on a non-biased needs-basis (More info to come).

  • Cancer Research
    • Our first priority is taking care of those with cancer, but our goal is to provide funding to research laboratories in the near future to advance available treatment options

Markey Patient Assistance

When we donate to Markey,  we choose where our support goes. We have chosen to support patient lodging and transportation assistance. Our patients treated with radiation at the Markey Cancer Center will have treatments 5 times a week!

For most of them that live all around the Bluegrass state, traveling 5 hours a day for 6 weeks is NOT feasible. We will provide hotel lodging and gas cards for these patients.

-This is where we come in. We thank you and our patients thank you.

Testimony from Markey's Social Work Supervisor

A patient arrived for preoperative appointments for surgery the next morning. Unfortunately, she was not able to utilize one of our local lodging resources, as she had her teenagers who were staying with her. This patient was granted assistance with one of our gift cards available thanks to the Markey Cancer Foundation and the Patient Support Fund which she was so grateful for, as she would have had to drive 2 hours home late that day only to return again early in the morning for her surgery.
